Following a successful implementation with Birmingham Community Health, NHS England commissioned us to implemented the Benson model across the 5 remaining regions of Birmingham, Solihull & the Black Country.
This involved 5 additional providers receiving separate implementations. A regional review was performed following the implementations which has provided an opportunity for the providers to compare and enhance their models. This will assist in informing changes and improvements to the provider Benson Models ahead of the recommissioning late in 2015.
Several of the providers have used the models as a mechanism to explore transition from GP to resident caseloads as is required from 1 April 2015. Once we had remapped the child population to LSOA or ward basis, this provided them with an opportunity to look at new caseload sizes and observe implications for workforce accordingly.
Since completion of the implementations all providers has continued to participate and use support to maintain and enhance their models.
