hvsp bch - Developing health visitor workforce planning with Birmingham

We completed implementation of the HVSP with Birmingham in May 2013.  This project aimed to develop a new method to assisting quantification of requirements in each area to support allocation of new and existing health visitors, as well as assessment of the role of skill mix in the organisation.

Following scoping and data development meetings with the steering committee, we develop the local dataset to enable the HVSP to be populated with local deprivation and safeguarding for the 17 local teams.  We then implemented the tool across three half day workshops over March and April 2013.

The service is already using the outputs from the HVSP to assist in planned allocation of new health visitors.
